Itinerary

Day 1Arrive in Kochi (Flight TBA)

Arrive at Kochi airport and you will meet the tour executive who will welcome you at the airport arrival lounge with a signboard and a garland of fresh flowers. Transfer to the hotel with the remaining day at leisure. Stay overnight in Kochi. (No Meals)

Day 2City tour of Kochi

Enjoy a full-day city tour of Kochi visiting the Fort Kochi area, showcasing a blend of Portuguese, Dutch, and British colonial influences. Explore the charming narrow streets lined with colonial-era buildings, antique shops, art galleries, and cafes. St. Francis Church, one of the oldest European churches in India. Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, which was built by the Portuguese and later renovated by the Dutch. Visit Jew Town and Synagogue, a vibrant neighbourhood near Mattancherry, known for its antique shops and spice markets. Visit the Paradesi Synagogue, the oldest active synagogue in the Commonwealth. Evening enjoy Kathakali dance performance, is a classical dance-drama form of Kerala, known for its elaborate costumes, vibrant makeup, and expressive gestures. Stay overnight in Kochi. Day 3Kochi – Munnar (By surface; approx. 04 hours’ drive)

Travel to Munnar, a place to enjoy scenic beauty and marvellous waterfalls, high mountains with the low flying clouds passing by. The town is famous for its tea gardens and summer resort of the erstwhile British administration in South India.  On arrival check-in to your accommodation with rest of the day at leisure to explore the natural beauty of this town. Stay for two nights in Munnar. (Breakfast)

Day 4Munnar

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, walk through the enchanting tea estates, and enjoy the tranquillity it provides while watching women plucking the tea leaves at the tea estates. It’s the place you would love to visit – it’s the place you would wish never to leave. You will also visit Tea Processing Factory & Museum. The museum puts light on the important facts and figures about the growth of the tea plantations in Munnar. It contains curios, old photographs, machineries and other things which have been used for a long time. Stay overnight in Munnar. (Breakfast)

Day 5Munnar

After breakfast, drive through the Western Ghats to Thekkady, a beautiful area of tea gardens, rubber estates, and coffee and pepper plantations, located high in the Cardamom hills. On arrival, check in to your accommodation with afternoon at leisure. Evening witness the Kalaripayattu show – is the oldest of martial arts-is a gift to the modern world and known as the mother of all martial arts. Legend traces the 3000-year old art form to sage Parasurama-the master of all martial art forms and credited to be the re-claimer of Kerala from the Arabian Sea. Kalaripayattu originated in ancient south India. Kung-fu, popularized by the monks of the shaoline temple traces its ancestry to Bodhi Dharma-an Indian Buddhist monk and Kalaripayattu master. Stay for two nights in Thekkady. (Breakfast)

Day 6Thekkady

Morning after breakfast enjoy a visit to the rare species of plantations and visit a spice plantation growing cardamom, pepper, coffee, and tea estate. Walk amidst the palette displaying variant shades of green, neatly arranged into terrace farms, the symmetry broken only by the sudden appearance of a gurgling stream. It is believed that the spice trade dates back three thousand years in Kerala and many spices find their home here. The slanting slopes caress a variety of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, turmeric and curry leaves. On the way back you could stop at the local market and purchase some fragrant spices. Afternoon enjoy visit to an Elephant Camp – offers an opportunity to get up close and personal with elephants. You can participate in activities like feeding, bathing, and even taking an elephant ride. Stay overnight in Thekkady. (Breakfast)

Day 07Thekkady – Alleppey (Backwater Houseboat)

Morning drive to Alleppey, where you will board your private houseboat, converted from a Kettuvallam or traditional rice barge, and sail through the beautiful backwaters of Kerala. The backwaters in Kerala are a world of serenity and wonderment. This large aquatic area is a vast network of lagoons, lakes, rivers and canals, and the people who live in this region have created their own distinct lifestyles. Witness the peaceful way of life on these amazing waterways with lunch, dinner and overnight stay on board; this will be a real highlight of your holiday. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

**While on the houseboat you can enjoy fishing with rod or can ask the local chef for Kerala Cooking demonstration. The houseboat docks itself in the evening at around 1700 hrs as by this time the fisherman draws their nets in the backwaters. The Air conditioning in the houseboat also starts at night after the houseboat docks.

Day 8Alleppey – Kovalam (By Surface; approx. 4 Hrs drive)

Morning disembark after breakfast and travel to Kovalam through green coastal belt and enjoy the scene of the Arabian waves embracing virgin sands, with steep palm covered headland. Kovalam means a grove of coconuts trees and truly the coconut trees along the beaches gives it a ravishing look. On arrival check-in to your accommodation. Stay for two nights at Kovalam. (Breakfast)

Day 9Kovalam

After breakfast day is free at leisure to relax by the beach or just relax by the pool / enjoy the hotel facilities. Overnight stay in Kovalam. (Breakfast)

Day 10Kovalam – Trivandrum (By Surface; 30 Minutes) & Departure (Flight TBA)

Morning after breakfast at hotel, later in time check-out from the hotel. Tour finishes with wonderful memories and direct transfer to Trivandrum Airport to board onward flight. (Breakfast)
